La Roche-Posay Effaclar

Todays review is on a couple of products that were bought on a complete whim, due to a fab offer in Boots, that I now can't imagine living without.

I will admit I can be somewhat fickle when it comes to skincare products as I am always wanting to try out the latest hyped up things, but these are by far my faves of the moment.

While browsing the shelves of Boots on my lunch break recently, I came across the La Roche-Posay section and noticed the amazing offer of two Effaclar products for £15! Bearing in mind the Effaclar Duo retails at £13.50 on it's own, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try these out.

I'm not usually one to rave about a product until i've been using it for a while but I have been SO amazed by these that I couldn't wait.

I've been using both products morning and night for the last week and have been shocked at how quickly the few blemishes I had have disappeared and how much better my skin is looking. I was abit wary about the Astringent Lotion as I don't like to use harsh products on my face, however I have had no problems with it at all. It leaves the skin feeling really fresh, clean and tingly after application. The Effaclar Duo has turned out to be a great makeup base, with my foundation applying and looking better than it has for ages and the added benefit that it has cleared up my skin!

You can purchase La Roche-Posay products from most Boots stores, and if you hurry you can snap them up for a bargain price like me!

Have you had any 'on a whim' products that have turned out to be firm favourites?

Origins GinZing

Hi Dolls,

Today’s post is going to be about my FAVE eye cream. My eye area is my most problematic when it comes to my face as I have really dark under eye circles that just don’t want to disappear. No matter how many people tell me that I need more sleep or need to drink more water ( I get 8-9 hours a night and drink plenty of water throughout the day) I know it’s something I just have to deal with.

Seeing as I can’t get rid of them, the next best thing is to cover them up. The first and most important step is to find a good eye cream to prepare the under eye area. Now I have tried many brands and many price ranges but nothing has ever come close to GinZing. In the morning my eyes are always slightly puffy and those beastly dark circles are there for all to see, GinZing goes to work with it’s cooling effect and helps to depuff those pesky eye bags. The pinky, peachy colour is what helps diminish the dark circles as it is the perfect colour to counteract the purple and blueish tones.

I would recommend this product to anyone who struggles with under eye bags and dark circles. It retails at £21 which some might find steep but you really do need the smallest amount so the 15ml does last a long time.

Hope this helps some of you on your quest to look bright eyed and bushy tailed.

The rest is still unwritten..

Hey dolls!

This blog has been something I have always wanted to do. I love writing, make up and fashion, so you would think I would find it easy to fill this with blog posts.

I'm not sure why I find it hard to write posts, but whenever I finish writing one I always feel like i've accomplished something.

The point of this post is to tell those of you who do read this (if there are any of you) is that I am going to commit to blogging this time. So please come back and visit to see the regular posts : )

I find it funny that the last post was nearly a year ago and I was writing about watching The Hills boxset and low and behold i'm sat here watching it now while writing this! My love for The Hills will never die.

Anyway my lovelies, until next time!

Leopard Print Shoes

I never was a huge lover of shoes thanks to my slightly larger than average size feet, however working in a shoe shop has opened my mind to experimenting more with shoes. Which brings me to these beauties.

I've been looking for leopard print loafers for a while but everywhere has been sold out so finding this pair for a barginous £22 made me very happy! They are out of stock in some sizes but if you keep checking back they should come back into stock as mine did today before I very quickly snapped them up! There a great addition to the wardrobe of someone like me who dresses quite plain but likes to add some interest with accessories.

I'm picking them up from my local store tomorrow so I will post some pics and my opinions on them for those of you who are interested.

Finally.. as my 'The Hills' boxset arrived on monday, I have been glued to the tv for the last 3 days so I thought I would share this pic with my fellow Hills fans. It makes me laugh everytime I look at it..

 Lotsa love

Xen-Tan Review - My FIRST Ever Youtube Video!

Hello again lovelies!

I've just done something I NEVER thought I would do... put a video on Youtube! I'm a really shy person and it took alot of courage for me to start writing a blog, however I've always wanted to make a video and be apart of the Youtube community aswell so today I just went for it! I'm not sure if my Youtube is something that I'm going to continue, however I def think it's a really good way of doing reviews as it takes so long to write everything out and in videos I can just chat, chat, chat!

So my first video is a review on some Xen-Tan products that I used and loved! I can't help but cringe when I watch the video back, I can't believe how many times I say 'um' or 'like' and how much I play with my hair and fidget! Either way I hope you enjoy the video and find it useful!

Mini Mac Haul

Hello my beauties! I hope you're all ok :)

I had a little shop on the Mac website the other day as I needed a little pick me up, and these were my products of choice...
Firstly I bought the Lady Gaga lipstick. This is in fact my first ever Mac lipstick and I'm soo glad I bought it! It feels lovely on the lips and it's a really nice cool toned pink which brightens up my face. I cannot wait to purchase more lipsticks...i feel an obsession coming on!

Then I got well dressed blush. It's such a gorgeous pinky colour and I haven't got a colour like it, so it was an obvious choice! It looks a little bit lonesome in my palette on it's own, but I do have my pinch of peach blush that I'm waiting to depot.

Soo that's my little haul, if anyone has any lipsticks to recommend me I would gladly listen with open ears :) Hope you all have a lovely evening!

Breakfast At Tiffany's

This is what I can see right now...

...What I call absolute bliss!

There's nothing I love more than having a cuppa tea and biscuits while watching Breakfast at Tiffany's - It's my fave film of all time! Because I've watched it soo many times I usually have it on in the background while I'm browsing on my laptop so I thought I would share with you a few pics I've found that I love...

It's Been A While..

Helloo sweetie pies!

Well I've been a bad girl and haven't posted for a while! Being back at work after my week off has exhausted me and I've spent all of my spare time sleeping (and shopping) and therefore have been neglecting you lovely ladies, so I do apologise!! I've also noticed on my return that I have 4 followers! I understand to most bloggers 4 is nothing but just the fact that 1 person is interested in what I have to say is amazing!! So thank you poppets for making my week :)

So my first post back is a small haul of some of today's purchases (It's payday for me yayyy!) so I'll get started...

I saw recently on one of lollipop26's you tube videos that she really liked the Umberto Giannini dry shampoo, and since my Label M one ran out the other day I thought I would take a trip to Boots to purchase the Umberto Giannini one as a replacement.

Luckily for me they had an offer of 3 products for £10 on Umberto Giannini! The majority of the products are £5.49 each so this is a big saving! Some people might be able to bypass this and just buy the product they went in for, but not me! I ended up leaving with these 3...

First is the Morning After Dry Shampoo, which does pretty much what it says on the tin! It smells lovely and I may leave my hair to get greasy over the next few days just so I can see how well it works!

Then I picked up the Backcomb In A Bottle. This really appealed to me because I have such long, thick hair and I really struggle to give it volume at the roots even when I do backcomb it! I sprayed this in my hair the second I got home and have to say I really like it so far! I think it's a product that you will need to reactivate throughout the day, not necessarily by using more product but as it says on the can "jujj hair in to shape as you go" which is fine for me as I like to play with my hair!

Lastly I went for the Grunge Glamour Tousled Salt Spray. This is a product that you put in your hair when it's damp and would then blow dry or let your hair air dry to get a "lived-in texture and come-to-bed hair". I haven't used this yet so I can't give a review on it, however if it is anything like the other products then I think I'm onto a winner :)

Next I popped into John Lewis to treat myself to these...

Yes I finally gave into the hype and purchased the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser as well as the Instant Boost Skin Tonic. I'm really excited to use both of these tonight and I put on a full face of makeup this morning to see how well it performs. I love the little bag that the cleanser comes in, it's a really nice touch.

If anyone would like an in depth review of any of the products after I've used them, then please leave a comment. I hope you all have a fantabulous week!

Weymouth

Hello beautiful ladies

I'm a very lucky lady and I'm off to Weymouth for the weekend with my bestie! Believe it or not this is the first holiday I've had from work in 8 months which also means it's the first time I'm leaving my little town this year!

I def need a little break so me and my buddie are gonna have a nice, relaxing girlie weekend! Were staying in her dads beautiful apartment near the sea front and I will spoil you all with pictures when I get back :) There won't be any posts from me for the next few days but maybe you lovely ladies could follow me and just wait for my return ;)

I should be packing right now, but I'm really struggling with what to take. I think it's gonna be raining slightly both days were there, however it's still going to be about 20 degrees so I don't wanna get too hot and sticky! It doesn't help that I washed nearly my entire wardrobe last night and now have everything crossed that it will be dry by the time I leave!

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend, whatever you get up to. I'm going to be enjoying myself in this amazing place...
